| A) It was established in year 1981 in this institution, one among 35 Community Polytechnics in the country. Its objective is as follows : i) To identify the needs of rural people through conducting socio ii) economic and technical survey. iii) To arrange free training in variety of trades. iv) To transfer of low - cost appropriate technology to rural people. v) To provide technical guidance. vi) To disseminate information and create awareness. |
| B) Six months free training programmes were conducted in the year 2006-07 in the trades of DEO/ Plumber/ Dress Making/ Electrical House Wiring/ Type and Data Entry/ Brass Fish making. |
| C) The community polytechnic society was ceased to function with effect from 31.10.2007 as per letter No. 12563(14)/ dated 13.08.2007 of DTE&T, Orissa, Cuttack and letter No. F-21-5/2007 TS(IV)/ dated 04.10.2007 of MHRD, New Delhi. However, it is likely to revived shortly. |
