DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING                 

The Mechanical Engineering branch is one of the pioneer branches which is started since inception of the institution. The department has well developed laboratories equipped with instruments of generations to the latest one. The major laboratories are, Heat Power Laboratory, Hydraulic Machinery, Materials Testing Laboratory, CNC Laboratory.
The institution has a well equipped Workshop consists of Machine Shop, Advanced Welding Shop, Turning Shop, Pattern Making Shop, Fitting Shop, Molding Shop, Black Smith Shop, Carpentry Shop, Welding Shop for the training practice in basic engineering of all the students in general and mechanical engineering students in particular.

Vision: To produce human resources of high standard in mechanical engineering who can contribute favourably to the technological and socioeconomic development of the nation.

Mission: • Develop state of the art facilities related to mechanical engineering. • Make the students competitive for employment or higher studies in highly esteemed organizations/institutions. • Encourage to solve problems of society implementing technical knowledge.

Program educational objective (PEO):

PEO1: To obtain fundamental and advanced knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering.

PEO2: To get employed in public/private sector organizations.

PEO3: To opt for higher studies in order to excel more to pursue a career of choice or for more employment benefits and advanced opportunities.
